URLs Deleted
I apologize
for any inconvenience it may have caused, but about 19 members
surfing had to have noticed The CLiX Network coming up over and over
again for a breif period of time (3-4 minutes tops). What happened is
I ran a query on the database, trying to remove any banned urls, and
for some reason it didn't get the list of banned urls, so deleted
them all. Anyways, I was talking to Robert (Mystical Maze) and he was
asking about backups, which reminded me it was time to do one..
So after realizing I wiped out the urls, I quickly recovered most of
them. I say most of them because there were probably a couple that
were added between the backup and restore. Again, I'm sorry if you
were one of the few affected by it.. But most of you will
notice you are getting all those hits delivered again :0)
Tracker Script
I have just
finished creating a tracker script and would like to give a special
discount to StartXchange members. The normal price for the script
will be $49.95, but untill the new year it will be $39.95.

Report System
I updated the
report page. A few things you'll notice. First, when you click
report, it will goto the report page within the frame of the site you
are viewing.. No more leaving your surfing. Second, You can
select from your last 5 urls which url you are reporting. Although
the report ticket includes all 5, this will help me better get to
which url it is. Third, You can select from a list of what you are
reporting, instead of having to type it in each time. Lastly, after
you report, if a frame breaker poped up the report page, you can
return surfing by clicking the link on the thank you page.
Also there is
a new option on the report page you can use to help out other
members. If you notice a 404 page, or a page can't be displayed, or
some other error like that, you can report it and select "404,
DNS, and Other Errors" and I will pause the URL and send an
email to the owner letting them know!
The new report
system is alot smoother and easier to use, so you can get right back
to buisness after coming across a violating website.
Sponsor Positions
Our December
Sponsors are each receiving over 250 hits per day, and increasing!
January positions are on sale now, so don't lose out.. There is
a limit of 10 sponsors each month.
What do
Sponsors get? Traffic! For only $20, their URLs are in rotation with
the other (up to) 10 sponsors. Every time a member starts surfing
(whether first time today, or went away for a period of time) they
see a Sponsor page. Also, StartXchange limits viewing each site once
every 20 views, so if there aren't any other sites that you can visit
at the moment, you are sent to a Sponsor page. And Finally, the
Sponsor rotator is entered normally into the exchange, to ensure
great exposure!

Positions are great for Co-Ops! If you run a Co-Op, you can get a
very good amount of traffic for $20. And you aren't limited to one
position per month!

Referal
Page Options
I just added
some new options for your referal page. I have noticed while surfing
other exchanges, advertisements for StartXchange. I'm sure many of
you have seen referal pages for StartXchange in other exchanges too,
and many of you probably have advertised StartXchange to other members.
Well I got to
thinking, and made the option to allow you to send existing members
to another page! You can use your exsiting StartXchange rotator, or
specify another URL.. Maybe even a referal URL to another program!
One thing to
be carefull about though, is advertising in exchanges that don't
allow rotators or redirects. You dont want your page to get removed
:0) To set up these new options, login and click "My
Downline" in the "Members Menu".
