System Functional
Over the weekend the server had some problems, but is now operational. Account information has not been affected.
What happened? Well our server uses cPanel, and every so often it checks to make sure the license is valid. If not, it shuts her down. That is exactly what happened.
It has happened previously, only I was lucky to be at the computer and using the server at the time it happened, so it came back online fast. This time I was busy and didn't know soon enough, and there were some tech support problems too. Ultimately, the guy who did fix it figured out what was causing it to sometimes not find the cPanel license server, and has told me it is now fixed for good - hurray!
