Good Morning
Its less than a week before college starts! I'll be moving on Saturday, and classes start Thursday. So what does this mean to you? Well, probably nothing. It shouldn't affect StartXchange at all.

Get a good Start
Each Monday morning, the active levels get a big change. This is because its a new week with no surfing yet. If you haven't yet, now would be a good time to get a good start on the week. You could probably jump an activity level!

Surfing Tip
There are many exchanges out there, and I would be crazy to try and tell you to only use my programs. The reality is, each exchange reaches different people, so use this to your advantage!
My tip: Surf 4 exchanges, that each are 20 second timers. Every 5 seconds switch to the next exchange, and view the page. By the time you get to it, it should be fully loaded and ready to view. If its at all interesting, DONT CLICK THAT BUTTON! Really, exchanges are only going to work if you're willing to stop and shop ;-)
I strongly advise you not to surf more than 4 20 second exchanges at a time. If you try to push it any more, you'll have less than 5 seconds. Thats really pushing it, and turns it into a "Click Next" game. You want people to look at your site, so you better be looking at others!
Traffic Analyzing
I have another website, Traffic Exchange List, which is a list of exchanges, but also has some statistics on the exchanges listed. I've brought back the 1000 Hit Test, which times how long it takes an exchange to deliver 1000 hits. Currently there are 14 exchanges being tested, and I'd like to do more.
If you'd like to purchase a co-op position, for $20, all the money will be used to buy traffic that will be analyzed. You'll also have access to private reports with detailed information on traffic from each exchange (Country, Time Zone, Etc).

Approximate Views To Next
While surfing you may notice that there is an "Approximate Views To Next" (active level). There has been much confusion lately about this feature, and why it keeps going up.
Active levels are in order of the top active surfers. So while you may have 100 pages to go, to get into the next level. If the people in the level above you all surf 100 pages, then they'll be 100 pages ahead of you again.
The views to next count is actually a little higher than needed, because its an average of the level above you. So its possible to move up a level without surfing all that it says you need, as some members will have surfed less than the average. However, it will give you some room if you stop surfing, and they surf more. If you surfed more than the average, and the bottom of the level above you surfed a few more sites, you should still be above them.
To get the most out of it, just surf however much you feel comfortable each day. If you feel you can, try surfing a few more minutes each day and build it up. Otherwise you may end up surfing like crazy, and burning out quickly.
