Hello All

I apologize for the problems with emailing Yahoo accounts. I've decided the best thing to do would be disable the newsletter for Yahoo accounts, and allow members to enable it in the members area.

This is due to Yahoo seeing our emails as spam, because some members are reporting it as spam. Since Yahoo doesn't notify us like other ESPs on spam complaints, there is no way for us to know which accounts are doing it, and so we can't remove them from the mailing list.

So the best approach is to disable the newsletter for all, and allow you to enable it. Then those who don't want it don't get it, and those who do, do.

Also note today's newsletter was sent to all, and if you click the activity points link inside it you'll get the newsletter re-enabled. This way if you ARE getting the emails and clicking the link, it knows you still want them ;-)

Tim

People are still using Yahoo! accounts for e-mail?

I know they've redesigned their GUI and improved their services but I really thought that by now everyone would be at least with one Gmail account.

I also find Gmail the better email for confirmations of TEs when signing up. I sometimes have used Hotmail and I know they sometimes block them for some reason.

I have several accounts with gmail for my safelists and text ad exchanges. I also have Yahoo but don't use it that much. I've noticed they do tend to put quite a bit of stuff in the spam folder even when it isn't really spam. Gmail seems to be the best at handling nearly all mail messages and even though SOME stuff goes to spam, it isn't nearly as bad as other mail services I've seen.

Gmail is great for TE's and Safelists. I have 1.8 MILLION emails in my gmail account and it is only 35% full and runs great, no slowing at all!! Gmail is definitely the way to go.

I've had so much problems with Yahoo that I dumped them for a Gmail account. Smartest move I've made in a long time.
Make it a GREAT day!
