Hello All

This is a reminder on how to set your Delivery Rate properly. There are over a hundred websites in rotation, that at the current rate without any credits being added will be in rotation for well over a month!

Now if that is your goal, to spread them out for a month or more.. That's great! You are getting what you want! But if you are looking to get high volumes of traffic, you need to set your rate ;)

Step 1: Goto the Website Page

Step 2: Click on "Rate" next to the website you wish to modify

Step 3: Enter the Rate (number of hits to send per day) Free members can go up to 500 per day and Upgraded members can go up to 1000 per day

Step 4: Click Save

You'll notice on the main websites page, where it lists each URL, there are two bars. A smaller bar, and a larger bar. These two bars are next to each website, and represent the Rate and Total Assigned percentages. It's an easy way to see if you need to up the Rate, as you can see the value (default 100) without clicking Rate every page.

PS I have no problem at all if you want to have the credits delivered over a longer of period of time. Not all members are aware of the Rate setting and so many don't realize they aren't getting all the hits they could!

I put this info. in my Team News every time I send it out so that new members joining sx for the first time understand the importance of rating their sites to increase their traffic.

I did send 13 hours ago a mail for mysol error in the surfbar

mine surfing was not count and it set mine rating down

At this point in time, everyone with 500+ credits assigned to a url, and a rate of 500 credits would expect to receive 500 hits a day

HOWEVER

The vast majority of members do not have 500 credits assigned to their urls, (or even 500 credits) so that issue does not arise :)

Don't forget that if we were to continue the experiment over a period of time, the daily AVERAGE surf requirement to get 500 credits delivered would be in excess of 1000 sites, so there would be no problem in delivering the 500 hits :)

If I'm correct, I believe you would be showing your website 500 times, not getting 500 hits unless all 500 people who saw your site clicked on it

Donna, I am using the expression 'hit' to mean page display of the page being advertised, so if you are using a splash page that will be 500 displays or 'hits' to that splash page. I am not aware of any traffic exchange that guarantees a click-thru rate of advertised pages.

I've noticed on several occasions that the sites that were set at high delivery rates, like 500 up to 1,000 didn't all get fully delivered. There need to be sufficient surfers to make delivery possible, so I'm not complaining, just stating that if there are a certain amount of members with high rates set, overall full delivery won't be possible.

Ah, so the rate actually means maximum credits per day. Believe it or not, I had no idea what exactly did it mean up till now. Thought it was merely site 'weight'. And I've been a member for months :D
