First Page On StartXchange

A loong time ago StartXchange sold spots in a rotator that displayed first when starting to surf. Well now it’s back, but in a different flavor!

You can now bid or buy a day! Bid as many credits as you want, or buy the day for $10. Buying a day cancels the bidding for that day and secures it for you, but bidding you can be out-bid at any time!

Hovering over the calandar days in the past will give you the stats for the number of page views the day showed, and future days will show you the current bid price! It is *brand* new so there are only full day stats for the 29th and 30th (2100 hits each!)

Yikes! My Bad!

When the new design was added to StartXchange our rankings went off the charts on the Top Manual Exchanges ranking. However I found out this was an error! You see the new design I accidentally had the tracking button on *all* pages, not just the members are. So I did my best to reset the stats according to what the average was before I made this mistake. I apologize for this error!

New Team Challenges

For the month of April the team challenges will be “Top Average Surfing”, “Top Average Loyalty”, and “Top Total Referring”. This change will give a more average approach of competing. Your team style can be surfing larger quantities or getting everyone to surf each day..  It’s up to your team leader! If you don’t know what your team’s goal is, check the team’s page description. If it doesn’t say clearly there, ask your team leader to put it in so you know

Casting Call: Team Leaders Wanted

If you want to be a team leader and you are experienced with StartXchange (been a member for some time, know the in’s and out’s), and are upgraded (any level), and are active (both in the forum and surfing), you can be a team leader! TODAY is the best day to start a team, as tomorrow the new challenges will begin!

It should be noted that by starting a team, you’ll be switching teams in the process and won’t qualify for any prizes if your current team wins for March.

Simply send a PM to “xxclixxx” on the forum, and include a few reasons why you think you’ll be a great team leader

Slower Delivery Changes

StartXchange has been known for fast delivery of traffic for quite some time, but things have been slowing down lately. This is entirely my fault, as I’ve been giving away more bonuses then ever before. While the bonuses might look small, a 10% surfing bonus can be the difference between fast and slow delivery when you’ve got hundreds of thousands of pages being viewed a day!

I’d like to apologize for not being on my game in this area! It was overlooked while I’ve been working on other areas of the site (new design, videos, backend security, etc). Really I should have been paying attention even while doing all that, and I want to publicly thank the members that pointed it out.

So changes that have been made: 1) Surfing Bonuses have been reduced. Team Bonuses you’ll receive 1% bonus for every 10% surfing, # surfing bonus you’ll receive 5% for 150 and 175 surfing. 2) Banner Exchange Ratios have been reduced to 10:5 free and 10:7/8 upgraded.

The Easter Giveaway Is Here

Wow. That’s all I can say about the Easter Giveaway! There are over 500 free gifts, and one of them is for StartXchange. I’m looking to increase the number of people we can advertise through this, so I need some help!

Amazing News!

If the NEW Look wasn’t enough, well the NEW Forum should top it off! The OLD Forum still exists, but will slowly be going away. You currently cannot start new threads, and in one week you won’t be able to reply to old threads. Two weeks from now it’ll be gone!

Unfortunately I won’t be able to move over posts and private messages. Now would be a GREAT time to login and read any unread messages!

Activity has been Soaring!

We’ve passed Traffic Splash on the Top Traffic Exchanges list! I think this has to do with the new look StartXchange has =P We’ve also been consistently seeing higher numbers of active surfers, and passing the 200,000 page views a day mark!

If you forgot, you get a higher surfing bonus when more members are surfing. So that 3:1 ratio can easily turn into a 2:1 ratio! Start surfing now!
