Track your Traffic
Wednesday, November 21st, 2007Tracking your traffic has two benefits. The first benefit, you see if your traffic is actually being delivered. If an exchange sends 1000 hits to your site, but your tracker says only 100 were received, you know somethings not right!
The second reason, is results. If you use tracking to see how many signups you are getting, you can see if you ads are effective. You can run two splash pages, and see which performs better. Or you can track a splash page and when the signups slow down, you know it’s time for a fresh advertisement.
