How to get traffic delivered faster

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

If you have a lot of credits just waiting to be delivered, many traffic exchanges you can get it delivered faster by doing the following:

First you’ll want to add your website multiple times. Many exchanges rotate each website independently. Having it added more times gives it more of a chance of being picked for viewing.

Next assign your traffic credits to your websites evenly, and that’s it. One thing to note is you will get less of a unique ratio of traffic if you do this.

Personalise your metatags for maximum exposure!

Even if you don’t use a splash page, a gateway or doorway page is important, especially if you are promoting an affiliate program. Most affiliate programs provide you with a replicated page, and they are usually quite nice, but they are also not only just like everyone else’s, the meta tags on the page are ultimately identifying the owner of the program to the search engines, not you. A simple, lightweight doorway page with little or no graphics outside of a picture of you, with a short description and a link to your affiliate sign up page, is very effective, gives the personal touch, and gets you noticed by the search engines, especially if you make sure you are identified in the meta tags of your page. Don’t forget to add keyword metatags, and add as many relevannt keywords you can think of. This maximises your exposure in search engines while you surf away in the traffic exchanges. A lot of success is generated by what the search engines can see about your page, and although I don’t understand half of what SEO is all about, I know it is important. So build that splash page, or a simple, lightweight doorway page, and be sure the metags identify YOU to the search engines, not someone else.

How to get a higher unique ratio

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

In many exchanges this tip will work. It’s fairly simple, but it might take some more work.

First you’ll want to make sure your website is added only once in the database. Many exchanges rotate sites independently so having it entered multiple times will make it chosen multiple times per user.

Next you’ll want to assign a smaller amount of credits depending on the exchange. Some exchanges will deliver traffic so fast, but it’s because they allow the same user to view the site over and over again.

Other exchanges, like StartXchange, have a method of preventing the user from viewing your site too many times. However having less credits assigned lessens the chance of someone viewing it multiple times.

Make Your Timers Work For You

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

When surfing multiple exchanges and using a tab browser, Make Your Timers Work For You. Put the 10 second timers in the middle so you can click these going both ways. (3rd and 4th tabs) Put the longer timers in the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th position. In other words, if you are surfing 6 tabs, your order would be 1,2,3,4,5,6,4,3 and so on. This will double your clicks on the 10’s and allow the longer timers to fully load and count down as you arrive. Having a plan will increase your speed and raise your views per hour to nearly 700. Working harder? No…Working smart and getting the most from Your time.

Good Luck and……………Happy Surfing!

Surf Only Exchanges That Work for You

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

Though some exchanges are great for some marketers, they may not be great for you. Your success ultimately depends upon the membership of the traffic exchange. Some membership bases are more apt to fill in forms on squeeze pages, for instance, while others like to play lotto. It all depends on the crowd.

How do you know? Track your pages with a good tracking program, and find out where your sign-ups or sales come. Then, surf those exchanges the most.

Increasing results with Splash Pages

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

It’s no surprise that traffic exchanges only show your site for a small amount of time. Because of this you need to make a page that loads fast.

The best way to do it is with splash pages. They are pages designed to load quickly, sorta like a TV commercial. They won’t give you every detail, but it’s enough to get you to click to view the website.

Just remember that, like TV commercials, not everyone will be interested, and not everyone will act on the first view. Sometimes it can take quite a bit of views before someone will jump on the offer.

Why Join a Team?

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

Traffic exchanges can deliver tons of web traffic to your website. However, if you aren’t surfing consistently or advertising correctly it could be a waste of time.

StartXchange Teams allow you to build relationships with your teammates. You can then help each other out when you have problems or questions, and you can give each other tips on getting better results.

On top of the closer team relationships, there are the team competitions! Each month teams compete to refer the most new members, surf the most, and have the highest average surfing. At the end of each month the top teams split the jackpot!

This translates to members encouraging you to surf on a consistent basis. It’s easy to get off track and stop surfing, but it’s important to keep a flow of traffic to your site.

Maximise your surf exposure

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

Surfing exchanges is a bit running a race, most professional athletes will tell you it is better to run at a steady pace throughout the race rather than throw everything into a mad flat-out sprint from the line - you will soon burn up your energy and get passed by the competition as they conserved their energy for later in the race.

In the same way, instead of surfing like mad on an exchange and racking up lots of credits and then not surfing for a while, surf a little bit on an exchange on a regular basis.
It is better to surf 50 credits a day over 5 days than to surf 300 credits in 1 day and then not surf for 5 days.
Why - the second option seems to be better as you have more credits earned?
The reason is that most exchanges can use up those 300 credits in a day or two, which means for 3 days NO-ONE is seeing your site, whereas if you surf a regular, smaller amount your site is being seen everyday.

Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare:
Slow and steady beat Fast and Furious

Welcoming new downline members

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

Some traffic exchanges, like StartXChange, notify you of new downline members and give you the ability to contact them. You should definitely make use of the tools offered in that regard. People will be more inclined to surf in an exchange where they know they will get help from their sponsor if needed. Here’s the message I send to my new downline members through the Private Message system when I get the “Referral Notification” message from StartXChange:

________________________________
Hello there [Insert Their StartXChange username here]!

Thank you for joining StartXChange in my downline!

The first thing you should do is to add a site where you
would like to send your traffic. Just click on Websites
in the left menu in your account to do so.

To start surfing for credits, just click on START SURFING
in the left menu in your account. You can also bookmark your surf link:
http://www.startxchange.com/start.php?username=[Insert Their StartXChange username here]

Also, when you use the surfbar, you have to click on one of
the two shapes that are alike to earn credits. Just look at the
shapes, and if there are two squares, just click on one of them.
If there are two circles, just click on one of them, etc.

If you ever need any help or if you have any questions,
just send me a note!

Happy surfing! :)
