The second reason, is results. If you use tracking to see how many signups you are getting, you can see if you ads are effective. You can run two splash pages, and see which performs better. Or you can track a splash page and when the signups slow down, you know it’s time for a fresh advertisement.

You can also add your website into the website manager multiple times. This is an easy way to get more traffic delivered on exchanges that don’t give you the option. However, as you do this the number of unique views will go down.

If you want more unique hits, add your website once and increase the rate. If you want a ton of  traffic,  add your website multiple times and increase the rate on each!

Unique traffic is not always good. You want your sight to be seen by the same people multiple times. Once they see it several times, they are more likely to stop and pay attention to what you are selling.

You will still advertise to about the same number of people because other surfers use multiple traffic exchanges also.

Try this. Surf 5 exchanges for 2 or 3 days, then rotate to another 5 exchanges for the next 2 or 3 days and so on instead of surfing the same 20 exchanges everyday.

1 Your page has to load fast, or I lose patience, and when the timer runs out, I’m going to click. Limit your graphics to just a logo and a small picture for illustration.

2 Use a splash page for your traffic exchanges. These load much faster, and put less of a load on my connection. I’m less likely to move on the the next site if your information is right in front of me.

3 Take the time to add the content I need to rouse my curiosity, and give me a link or button to click that will open your site in a new page. This will enable me to look over your offer while continuing my surf session.

5 Go ahead and offer me information in my email. Use a simple subscription page attached to an autoresponder, or better still, to your email so that you can give me a personal response.

4 Save the sound effects for your main page. If you are promoting an affiliate page with sound, take the time to build a gateway or splash page, so that I will want to click through to your main page.

5 Take the time to proofread your copy. Nothing will turn me off of your offer faster than several misspelled words or grammatical errors.

6 Avoid using a lot of Flash. I know it’s pretty, and I know a lot of us use it, but if I have dial-up your page is not going to load in less than 20 seconds for me, so I will probably never see it.

I know these tips seem pretty basic, but you will notice a better response to your traffic exchange campaigns, which will greatly increase your success with your business.

When you surf through various sites, sometimes you see sites such as Hits2U.com where you can promote your sites for free, where they ask you to enter your sites url and email address but you don’t do that, instead certain Hits2U affiliate page have links to their ‘guestbook’ which allows you to leave a comment about their sites or to say hello. Some guessbooks allows you to enter your website url. When other visitors reads your comment, some will click on your name out of curiousity which will take them to your websites.

From time to time you will also see blogs while surfing. You can leave a comment on those blogs if you find it interesting or if you have anything valuable to share. Each time you leave a comment, use your real name for branding purposes. Again, each time you leave a comment you can add your website link which in turn will get you more inbound links as well as traffic.

Members of trafficwave.com can also promote an affiliate page where other people can leave a link to their website and email address for other surfers to see, even though it does break frames in some traffic exchange while you surf, I still believe it’s worth the effort.

Remember that when you leave comments in other peoples sites thus breaking your surfing sessions for a moment, you are giving your fingers and wrists a much needed break plus some extra exposure to your websites at the same time.

This is an excellent place to gain extra downline members in other traffic exchanges or affiliate programs. Often this area is overlooked or ignored and the result is that if one of your downline referral members should happen to visit this area and sign up for anything listed there someone else will get the referral credit for the sign up.

It only takes a few minutes upon initial sign in to a new traffic exchange to fill out the details on this section and it should not be ignored. Once completed you will get those extra downline referral credits yourself instead of letting them go to someone else.
